What this costs
Most builds run $4,000 to $12,000, then $500 to $1,500 a month to operate.
Three things move the number more than anything else:
- How many systems the work touches. One inbox is a different job from an inbox, a scheduler, and an invoicing tool that have to agree.
- Whether the process is already decided. If the rules live in one person's head, the first part of the work is getting them out of it.
- Whether it has to run unattended. Something that can fail quietly overnight needs guardrails, alerting, and recovery that a supervised script does not.
We tell you the number before anything is built, and we tell you when the honest answer is that the work is too small to be worth automating.
